Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! Only a month away from the show. Are you ready?

It’s only 1 day into 2013 and we already have some more exciting news to share! The amazing Jim Mahfood a.k.a. Food One was kind enough to create our Press Paws campaign poster. We are absolutely crazy about this piece!

PressPawsFlyerApart from his creator-owned comic book series Grrl Scouts and his comic strip Stupid Comics (which appears weekly in the Phoenix New Times), Jim Mahfood also did work for Marvel Comics on various Spider-Man titles, including Ultimate Marvel Team-Up and Spectacular Spider-Man. His big break came when Oni Press hired him to illustrate two comic books based on Kevin Smith’s movie Clerks from scripts by Smith, following his work on Marvel Comics Generation X Underground Special.

Indiegogo Account Goes LIVE!

This was our first attempt at planning a charity event, so the show started small, but as word got around, we found that other people really liked our idea. More volunteers offered to help, more artists came on board, and as of today, we’ve got over 50 artists contributing their works. We’ll be hosting the show at the amazing and spacious Gallery Nucleus.

The event is still growing, which is exciting and humbling and also kind of scary because we’re still just the same small team and quite honestly, we’re in uncharted territory at this point. What we do know is that people love their pets, and everyone who’s heard about this show loves the idea, and so this event has the potential to help a lot of animals find forever homes.

And HERE’s where we need your help!

We want to give this show the promotion it deserves, give back to everyone that’s so graciously supporting us, and most of all raise as much as we can for What’s Up Dog!

$3,000 is our ultimate goal. It will help us cover printing costs for promotional items like posters and flyers, make some cool merchandise for everyone to take home, and generally make this event extra special for everyone involved. If we exceed our goal, all funds provided will go directly to What’s Up Dog.

You can contribute to this event HERE!

Thank you so much for all your love and support. You all are truly PAWESOME!

You’re in for such a treat! Press Paws is very lucky to be working with some amazing artists and partners! We don’t want to spoil the fun by announcing them all at once so stay tuned! In the meantime, please enjoy dog playing Modern Warfare 2.
